Toscana - Marina di Cecina

We hiked through the Pine Forest of Marina di Cecina. The trees are quite different from British Columbia pines, and produce one of Italy's great delicacies - pine nuts. They stand in dramatic contrast to the glowing light. I was honored to be among them.

Truly fascinating interpretations using trees we don't see very often in our reality. And the shadows and reflections in the stream - sharp eye!!!

Timeless sentinels standing tall in the dark forest revealing their innermost souls to those that seek to feel and see them.

Do trees have souls? And, if so, can we see them? The Shadow suggests the answer to both queries is an emphatic yes.
