"A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush", or so it is said. At the Blue Heron Sanctuary near Chilliwack, the birds weren't even in the bushes. With winter retreating slowly, they were likely hesitant to show themselves. No matter. The area was lush and tranquil; the wetlands soon to burst into birdsong. Water was everywhere, which is always a joy to photograph.
