Art has been my life's journey, from first scribbles to my current explorations in music. In between I have been a painter, pastel artist, photographer, singer, poet, graphic designer, knitter, seamstress, cosmetician and foodie. I am still many of these things. It is never over. I remain intrigued by the bumps in the highway.

- I have been making photographs seriously since 2005.
My first images were taken with point and shoot digital cameras: a Hewlett Packard 315 followed by a Minolta Z10. I've since moved to a Nikon D300 DSLR, and love the technical challenge that the camera brings to my creative process. This site documents my journey in photography.

MY MUSIC AND MORE
This space links to the music that rocks my world. These are the sounds that move me, and they are quite random and ever changing.
IN FIRST PLACE I INTRODUCE MY FATHER, COLIN MASON, WHO RECENTLY WON THE REGIONAL PHASE OF THE 2013 SENIOR STAR COMPETITION. My father has a golden voice at the age of 86. Take a listen.
ALSO AT THE HEAD OF THE LINE, a personal favorite, THE MARSHALLS! This up and coming Canadian talent features Damian and Shannalynn Marshall, and my daughter, Beth. Naturally, they rock.
AH, THE QUINTESSENTIAL SCOTLAND! I accidentally stumbled on this wee ditty, which speaks to this glorious land in a way my pictures cannot. Check out the rugged landscape, the relentless wind, and the spirited players - fantastic!
Here's a real beauty.
Next up comes this gem - it elicited a huge WOW when heard on the radio.
And how about this one?
I LOVE THIS SONG! So fresh and fun! How many people in the target audience actually know who the singer is talking about?
BRING ON THE YOUNG BRITS! This is BIRDY, 16 years old and pure talent. This ain't no overhyped media darling!

Wonderful stuff Kathy .. your flowers have a delicate and gentle feel that is rarely seen - a real WOW!!!
These are excellent!
The wide range to the subject matter of your work is what I like most. You capture the stuff most of us look at but rarely ever see, or even when we see it, nothing registers. It's nice to have someone with such a great eye, working with good equipment, willing to share her life's loves.
